C Wall

C Wall, named for the painted C on the upper left corner of the face, is a south-facing cliff that is down right from The Confluence. Expect fun climbing on its slabby face. Check cliff location first from the parking area.

Finding the cliff: Hike to Civil War and go right on the cliff-base trail to The Confluence. Go right again and follow the trail slightly downhill to the side of the wall. Routes are described from left to right.

1. 20,000 Leagues (5.10a) Climb to stance then up blocky prow on left side of face. 5 bolts to 2-bolt anchor.

2. Under the Sea (5.10c) Swing up lower face to ledge and roof. Step left and work up face above past small roof and left side of C. 8 bolts to 2-bolt anchor.

3. Sea Food (5.9) Start on boulder right of black streaks in middle of face. 9 bolts to 2-bolt anchor.

4. Sea Monster (5.9-) Climb to top of boulder and work up groove. 5 bolts to 2-bolt anchor.

5. Sinking Feeling (5.9) Climb past vertical quartz band. 5 bolts to 2-bolt anchor.

6. The Water Front (5.9) Face climbing on right side. 5 bolts to 2-bolt anchor.

7. Rising Tide (5.7) Shorty on far right side of slab. 3 bolts, no anchor. Walk off right.
